This pack includes sixteen yoga cards that is a great strategy to assist your students to calm down by stretching out and calming their bodies. Each card has the pet creature demonstrating the pose along with a detailed step by step instruction. Also included is a yoga poster that can be printed in A4 or A3 for the wall.
As a whole class you can introduce the yoga cards one by one by encouraging different students to come up and demonstrate the pose.
Once the students are confident, you can try each pose altogether as a class or as a small group.
The more often these poses are practiced, the less the students will rely on the verbal step by step instruction and will be able to complete the pose by looking at the picture.
If you have a younger age group, the instructions can be simplified to suit their abilities.
These cards can be used throughout the day if you feel children need a quick break from what they are doing.
