We Love Our Class Creature
So far, this little guy, whom my class named Stitch, has been a fantastic help with classroom management. I ordered a stamp with him that says, “Making Good Choices.” It came in a mini sack that matched our creature’s color. Each day, I put a big gold star sticker, a little piece of candy like a Hershey Kiss, and the stamp inside, and sit it next to Stitch. He watches the class throughout the day and reports to me in my ear at the end of the day which student he thinks did the best job following classroom rules and expectations. That Star Student gets the sticker, the candy, and a stamp on the back of the hand. The class never lets me forget that Stitch needs to give his report. They look forward to hearing his choice, and they congratulate their classmates for doing a good job.
